SRW DUCT WRAP

Duct Wrap is a flexible insulation manufactured from Rock Wool using thermosetting binder, to acquire the required roll shape complying with ASTM C-1290 (Standard Specification for Flexible Blanket Insulation used to insulate HAVC Ducts).

Application
  • It is used for thermal insulation of the HAVC ducts.
  • It can be installed on all types of flat and curved ducts, in order to achieve the required thermal insulation coupled with fire safety and acoustic insulation.
Storage It must be stored in an area where it is protected against water and physical damage.
Maintenance Once duct warp are properly installed they do not need any maintenance.
Installation
  • Pre-Installation check: The duct warp dimension, facing and specification are as required by the HVAC system.
  • When installing duct warp, it is essential to have: The Proper fastener material and the HVAC duct are in the proper shape clean and dry.
  • Place the duct wrap gently and carefully around the duct, then cut and trim the duct wrap as per required dimensions making sure that the edge of the duct wrap closely butted. Use the proper fasteners to place the duct wrap in location.

  • K-value range from 0.032 - 0.035 (w/m K) @ 10 ºC
  • Non-combustible.
  • Flame spread index <10.
  • Shot content meets the requirements of ASTM C - 612.
  • Smoke developed <20.
  • Water vapor absorption <1% weight.
  • Negligible shrinkage when exposed to high temperature.
  • Does not show any tendencies for corrosion when placed directly on steel.
